The “Occhioblu Levantoinforma” association was created in 1999 through the union of local tour operators who have decided to work together to promote and grow the tourism destination Levanto.
From the beginning the town of Levanto approved the project and joined in as a partner, initiating one of the very first examples of successful cooperation between public and private entities.
The President of Occhioblu Association is Damiano Cassola, and the vice president is Claudio Podestà.
Councillors are: Saverio Tuvo, Natalia Olivi, Pino Consoli, Anna Perrone, Gabriele Raso, Marco Bagnasco and Paolo Lizza.
In almost 15 years of activity, the Occhioblu Association has engaged in numerous activities to promote communication and networking, especially the tourist offer of Levanto, with the objective of creating a strong synergy between all the actors that make up the chain of ‘tourist offer.
For this reason, in addition to the economic activities of tourism such as hotels, restaurants, campgrounds, travel agencies and restaurants, the Consortium has opened Occhioblu participation in all economic operators in the territory that enrich the proposal of Levanto with the networking of their services and products.
This is because the members of the Consortium are aware that a territory before being attractive for tourists must be a hospitable and full of jobs place for its citizens.
Among the activities carried out by the Consortium Occhioblu has great relevance the care, organization and promotion of events designed to describe the characteristics of a territory lived by tourists 12 months a year, among them stands the Mangialonga event, which takes place every year in the month of May.
