The Confartigianato association in La Spezia, established in 1946, is a trade union organization protecting the interests of artisans and businesses selling homemade products. It is open to small businesses as well, has no official party, is independent from other financial organizations and/or unions, and is non-profit. The association was created in order to represent companies selling homemade products, especially national and international businesses and institutions. It has united 119 national associations, and 20 regional associations, for a total of about 1200 branches and 521,000 individual businesses. At the international level, Confartigianato participates in the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (UEAPME), which has its headquarters in Brussels. The local office can be found in Levanto at 35 Via Jacopo. In addition to providing small-medium businesses with all of the services needed to start up and conduct its initial activities, Confartigianato also offers legal consulting, financial aid, services relating to privacy, the environment, security, quality control, training and, for each business protected by the national organization INAPA, there are pension policies, accident/disability assistance, etc... |
