Villanova is a beautiful estate from the 1700s originally belonging to the Massola barons. It’s a short drive form Levanto and the Cinque Terre, and is the perfect location for touring the Italian Riviera, including the area of Levanto, from Genoa to La Spezia. The master villa is the focal point of Villanova, and next to it, there are three recently refurbished farm houses and the family church, which dates back to 1664. Accommodations include both individual rooms and apartments located in different buildings, all of which are surrounded by inviting gardens. All of the buildings have old-fashioned decor with antique furniture, and aesthetically-pleasing details. Bold colors such as blue and yellow give the walls and fabrics a certain ambiance, and each room has a rustic but elegant feel. Villanova has 8 rooms including doubles, triples, and suites, all of which have a private bath, satellite TV, minibar, and phone; a few of them also have AC and a kitchenette. The apartments can sleep up to 4 people, and each have a private kitchen and garden area. Guests staying at Villanova will be offered a delicious breakfast prepared with natural products that are locally grown; this is served out in the garden, with the peaceful Ligurian countryside as a backdrop. The estate also produces its own oil and wine, which can be purchased there. Villanova enjoys an enchanting view of Levanto’s hillside and is strategically located for those who wish to visit the splended villages of the Cinque Terre, or simply take a vacation near the sea, immersed in nature. In the surrounding areas there are several paths for anyone interested in hiking; the estate also offers mountain bikes, an outdoor play area for children, and meeting places for seminars, or different classes, such as cooking, painting, decoration, or food and wine tasting. Villanova provides information on all of the excursions and recreational/cultural activities guests can participate in, and can even organize these outings directly.
